Life is so fragile...

Yesterday as i was onto my daily routine of browsing the job advertisements, my aunt told me that MC King passed away after complaining that he had difficulties breathing, a news she heard over the radio. To my disbelief, i surfed the channelnewsasia site but nothing was featured, at first i thought it was a hoax till i came across xin.sg. A few months back i was still listening to a program that he co host with a 972 dj, but now at this moment he is gone. Indeed life is so unpredictable and fragile, what i can say now is treasure everyone that is around you, that our lives will not be full of regrets. Sometimes a simple word of encouragement can mean a lot to someone, do not belittle them just like what the bible says in Proverbs 18:21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those who love it will eat its fruit.

Now thinking back i feel that i am drifting through life in the past few years, not that i have accomplished nothing but I believe that more can be done. So i have decided that i will start this year right by setting goals. Although at every beginning of the year, i have a brief idea of what i want to achieve but i have never really gone through the 'smarter' goal card and writing the goals down. Just like the old saying "if you fail to plan, you plan to fail" I would not want to repeat the same old mistakes. I have drafted a set goals at this moment and over the course of next week i will write them down! I really believe that 2008 will be the best year yet for me.

New Year Count Down

This year count down was slightly different as i tend spend my new year eve at home. The reason being it was way too crowded to go anywhere on the occasion. I went to a cell member's place to have games and countdown. The night started with a game of bluff with Ngai Kay, Vino and Weifoong, up until yesterday then i know that actually Ngai Kay was a very good lair haha! I always thought that honesty is the best policy apparently not in the game of bluff. As for the countdown, I think we got the timing wrong though, we started counting 30... 29.. 28... and the party spray started going off, everyone was busy running away from the 2 girls armed with spray cans in their hands. However just when i thought that i have successfully blend into the environment minding my own business, i was sprayed by someone which i shall not name haha. I guess the most interesting part of this episode was how Vino chased after Enoch which end up her giving him a nickname of Mr Hash brown. Why hash brown you guys might ask, no one knows i think most probably because she was hungry after all the running. LOL! In fact i was hungry even without all the running hahaha what a hungry new year day. Here's some picture i took after the countdown.

31st December 2007, here i am at the threshold of 2008 thinking about the goals i would like to set for the great year ahead. This year was indeed challenging, full of changes. In fact i am still in the midst of a transition at this very moment, but like pastor had shared last Saturday change is necessary for growth. I guess in the next few days i would be listing down areas that I need to change together with all my goals in 2008. Haha want a sneak preview ? Here's one, be more sociable and build lasting friendships. My brother prompted me one night with this question, "Not counting family members / relatives, who will cry when you die?" to my surprise, i was finding it hard to answer. This was not about the number of people that will eat the curry chicken at the funeral Hahaha but its about leaving a legacy behind, and whether in this lifetime have I make a difference in others. I think with this in mind, change is really necessary such as investing time, effort and being less of a couch potato. Lastly, i went to check out the meaning of the famous song that we will always sing. It turns out that "Auld Lang Syne" is an extremely old Scottish song that was first written down in the 1700s. Robert Burns is the person whose transcription got the most attention, so the song is associated with him.A good translation of the words "auld lang syne" is "times gone by."when we sing this song, we are saying, "We'll drink a cup of kindness yet for times gone by." Although Christmas is over, here is a superb song back in the 90s that i think its worth listening to, there are various versions of this song

Caught up with my buddies in IRAS

Finally managed to meet up my long lost buddies in IRAS on Sunday. It was a day full of indo food as we had Ayam penyet to lunch at lucky plaza. As i stepped into lucky plaza, i was overwhelmed by the crowd and it almost felt like i am not in Singapore. Haha we proceeded with our plan to have lunch there nevertheless. Below are the food i ate hahaha



We started to talk about the need to have passive income, letting your money work for you and not just working for money. The biz minded Roy started to share the importance of moving from E (Employment) to B/I (Biz or Investment). I did not register much i am still U (Unemployed) which is not even E. Haha however it had me thinking, i guess it is time for me get myself familiarize with investments and stuff. "If you think that you cannot, yes! you are correct!" a passing remark made by Roy struck me. i was reminded of the importance of my thinking, the need of renewing my mind with the word of God! Just like in the days of Adam before sin sets in, he was able to have dominion over all the beasts even when they much stronger than him with just his MIND. Indeed this gathering was meaningful!

Blogger Hee Back!

If you have been wondering why i did not update my blog for so long, it is because i am abducted by aliens HAHAHA YEAH RIGHT!. I could not think of anything to blog, nothing eventful except for some interviews which i feel it is nothing worth talking about. Yeah, by this statement, i am still in the midst of job search how sad. Today's service was brilliant, touching on the importance of been connected to God. After service i wanted to go home but was urged by my cg friends to join them for dinner. We went to Five Star Hainanese Chicken Rice. The kampung chicken is succulent, the rice is fragrant and the chilli is fiery hot. Chicken with exercise taste better? Thus i can conclude that exercise is indeed good for both chicken and Man. Hahaha! Its time for me to say good bye once again, hope that i can keep my entry fresh.

Blogger Hee..

Blogger Hee, a nick given by my brother. I guess he must be very free in office and came to peep at my blog hahaha "dio bo"?.
I went to have my haircut at KHE, a shop that my aunt used to patronize. Haha the lady still manage to recognize my aunt after so long. I had my hair cut short, so that i do not look like a bushman off the Savanna, hahaha after all first impression counts on an interview? After the haircut, we went to Hougang Mall. I went to have my passport sized photo taken :) after so many interviews that require my beautiful picture, i do not have much left Hahaha. I have also heard of a good news, XM got himself a permanent job in ST while enjoying his ICT. I am very happy as i can smell a treat coming wahaha, but more importantly he is no longer jobless and it is worth a celebration! Tonight is the eve of my interview, will i be able to sleep? Haha i seriously hope that i can. Ok, Blogger Hee will stop here for now :)

One Interview @ last

It has been a very quiet afternoon was trying to fix up this blog, and send out several resume but did not receive any calls till about 5:45pm. Hehe finally my phone rang! got an interview on Thursday at Tien Min favorite hang out - Bedok. Hahaha I am very excited about it, but also slightly worried as I was not selected by Nets although i felt that i did fairly well for the interview and was very confident after that. I guess the experience had unwittingly affected me in some ways, but nevertheless i choose to trust the Lord and believe that i will be able to get the job :)

Today as i was browsing some of my friends blog, i came to realize that i have a blogspot account which was dated Sept 2005. Haha it was surprising as i do not even remember when did i sign up for one. :P to start off my blog i shall put a very cute clip that i came across last night hehe :D
